Chief Executive Officer
Dave Ellett currently serves as chief executive officer for RemitDATA. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and day-to-day operations of the company.
Ellett has held senior positions in several Internet-focused businesses. He most recently served as president and general manager of Belo Interactive Media, the digital business arm of both Belo Corp. and A.H. Belo. Prior to Belo, Ellett served as chief executive officer and chairman of Powered, an industry leader in building social media websites for major brands and publishers. Before joining Powered, Ellett served as chief executive officer at Docent Inc., a leader in enterprise e-learning and business performance management, taking the company from the “A” round of funding through a successful IPO.
Ellett has held several other senior management positions with early stage online ventures. Prior to his work with smaller, stand-alone Internet companies, he held positions with Oracle and EDS. He was corporate vice president of worldwide education for Oracle and spent 13 years with EDS in a number of key management roles, including president of the performance services group. In addition, Ellett serves as treasurer on the Board of Trustees of KIPP Dallas Fort-Worth and chairs the school’s Strategy and Growth Committee.
Ellett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is married and has three daughters.
Joel K. Wood
Chief Financial Officer
Joel Wood brings a strong corporate finance and investment banking background to RemitDATA. Prior to joining RemitDATA in 2007, he was a partner at Delta Capital Managementwhere he managed several healthcare investments for the venture capital firm. Before joining Delta, Wood was a vice president in the medical technologies investment banking group Dain Rauscher Wessels (now RBC Capital Markets), concentrating on healthcare information technology and medical device companies.
During Joel’s time as an investment banker, he advised companies on their financial and strategic initiatives, including private equity, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions. Wood was vice president with Stephens Inc., where he focused on technology and healthcare companies. He also worked for the investment banking group Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc.
Wood began his career in finance with the U.S. corporate group of Wachovia Bank, working on large corporate credit transactions. Wood received a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree with high honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Wood is married with three sons and lives in Memphis, Tennessee.
Chief Revenue Officer
Brad Hill, a 22-year veteran of the healthcare industry, joined RemitDATA in 2015 and serves as Chief Revenue Officer. Brad is responsible for all customer revenue lines and business development efforts.
Prior to RemitDATA Brad was Vice President, Payer Solutions at Passport/Experian Health, where he introduced existing products and new solutions to the commercial and government-sponsored payer markets. These services provided a new level of transparency and communication between payers and providers and represented the fastest growing segment of the Experian Health portfolio.
Prior to Experian Health, Hill was President of Parity, Inc., an early-stage workers compensation revenue solutions company helping insurers, self-insured employers and third party administrators identify and recover over payments. Hill also served as Vice President at HMS, where he provided executive oversight of program integrity and third-party liability services for 40+ state Medicaid and managed care plans representing 55 million lives. Hill was also Vice President at AIM Healthcare and was responsible for the creation and management of the Data Mining Services division; assisting health plans in the identification and recovery of over $1 billion in errant claim payments.
Brad is a CPA, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Murray State University and serves on several company boards and committees.
Chief Technology Officer
Jim Harter adds solid healthcare, enterprise and analytics technology experience to RemitDATA, where he leads the software development group to successfully meet customer needs through technology implementation.
Harter holds multiple technology patents for his work in developing prospective screening systems, routing algorithms and the use of NoSQL databases. Prior to joining RemitDATA in 2013, Harter served as a lead architect and Director of the Integration Competency Center at e-Rewards, Inc., where he led the development of sampling systems that identified people for market research projects.
Harter’s past experience includes being an architect for Stryker Imaging, where he led the development of its next-generation OfficePACS product. Additionally, he founded Stryker’s Interoperability Working Group to facilitate device and system data exchanges.
While working as a consultant, Harter led custom development, content management system and portal system implementations for many clients, including the Department of Defense and Fortune 50 companies. Harter began his career as a nuclear submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. He was awarded multiple medals for his leadership and performance while serving.
Harter received his Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland where he graduated with distinction. He received his Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland in College Park. He currently resides in Lantana, Texas with his wife and three sons.
VP Client Services
Helen Bardo-Levins adds more than 25 years of experience to RemitDATA in the areas of customer service, conflict resolution and operations management in healthcare and call center settings. She is responsible for RemitDATA’s client support, implementation, training, client retention and inside sales.
Most recently, Bardo-Levins served as the Customer Service Manager with Lakeview Medical Center, a 50-doctor multispecialty practice in Virginia Beach, Va., where she recruited, trained and supervised a customer service team of 20-plus associates and opened an in-house collection agency for past-due medical bills. Prior to Lakeview, Bardo-Levins held various positions where she successfully managed inbound and outbound call centers, including managing a team of 700 customer service representatives. Bardo-Levins resides in Lakeland, Tennessee with her husband and two dogs.
VP of Marketing
Stacie Bon is a 15+ year marketing veteran and currently Vice President of Marketing at RemitDATA. She is responsible for the strategy,development and execution of corporate-wide integrated marketing efforts.
Prior to joining RemitDATA in 2014, Bon was an Account Director at Rodgers Townsend where she worked on the AT&T Small Business account. She also led the business development and marketing for Javelin and KerstenDirect, two Dallas based agencies.
In her spare time, Bon volunteers at her neighborhood elementary school and serves as a member of 100 Women of Lake Highlands, a non-profit organization that believes we can make greater impact in numbers for their local community.
She enjoys spending family time with her husband,son and daughter, and also develops landscape designs for friends and blogs –not as often as she would like – about all things green and unfortunately sometimes brown.
Bon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Marketing with a minor in Management from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Ellett’s experience also includes tenures at large IT companies, such as serving as the corporate vice president of worldwide education for Oracle. In addition, Ellett spent 13 years with EDS in a number of key management roles, including president of the performance services group.
Apart from RemitDATA, Ellett serves as treasurer on the Board of Trustees of KIPP Dallas Fort-Worth and chairs the school’s Strategy and Growth Committee. Ellett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is married and has three daughters.
Bently Goodwin founded RemitDATA Inc. in the spring of 2000. He has been in the healthcare industry since 1988, playing major organizational roles in finance, management information systems and third-party reimbursement. He structured and engineered processes geared toward maximizing employee utilization and “mining” of key data elements to effectively manage reimbursement and operations.
Goodwin started his career with the international accounting firm Ernst & Young. After several years, he entered healthcare with a regional full-service homecare provider with responsibilities over drug distribution, home medical equipment, home health and nurse staffing. He oversaw finance, MIS and reimbursement for business segments growing at an average annual rate of more than 60 percent. Bentley consulted for a Fortune 500 company in their healthcare division, re-engineering both reimbursement and operations to achieve effective data collection and increased cash collections. He also has worked in a financial capacity for a regional temporary staffing firm as well as for Promus Hotels (now part of Hilton Hotels).
Goodwin is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Mississippi State University. He and his wife, Dana, have two sons and live in Memphis, Tennessee.
Jim Brady is the chairman of the board and is an operating partner with Marlin Equity Partners, focused on investment opportunities in the healthcare sector. Brady’s primary responsibilities include conducting due diligence and providing operational support and oversight to Marlin portfolio companies.
Brady has more than 20 years of experience as an operator in the healthcare IT and services sectors. Brady joined Marlin from JBR Advisors, LLC, a management advisory firm. Prior to JBR, Brady was founder and CEO of Payerpath, a web-based claims management system for healthcare providers and payers. In 2006, Payerpath was sold to Misys Healthcare Systems, one of the top five healthcare IT companies in North America. After the sale of Payerpath, Brady served as president of Payerpath, a Misys Company, and served on the board of Misys Healthcare Systems as well as on the operating board of its parent company, UK-based Misys plc.
Before founding Payerpath, Brady held various leadership positions in the healthcare technology sector, including vice president of sales for the healthcare division of National Data Corporation (NDC Health), and senior vice president of Health Communication Services (HCS), a firm acquired by NDC. While at HCS, Brady helped grow the company to one of the nation’s largest suppliers of healthcare electronic data interchange (EDI) services to hospitals, physicians and insurance companies. He also served as district manager for Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Brady earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Richmond.
Allen Moseley is a general partner with Noro-Moseley Partners (NMP). He joined NMP in 1998 and leads the firm’s healthcare practice focused primarily in healthcare services, healthcare information technology and medical devices. He currently represents NMP on the boards of Bloodhound, Diabetes Care Group, Navitas Lease Finance, RemitDATA, Renal CarePartners, Senior Whole Health, U.S. Radiosurgery and Valor Healthcare. Moseley also oversees the Firm’s investment in Direct Insurance and Lanx.
Prior to joining NMP in 1998, Moseley was in the corporate finance group at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, an investment banking firm previously owned by Citigroup and most recently acquired by SunTrust. Moseley worked extensively in the healthcare and business services industries, advising on a number of initial public offerings, merger and acquisition transactions and private placements. He was also involved in R-H Capital Partners, the private equity investment arm of the firm. Previously, Moseley held investment banking positions with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company and Merrill Lynch & Co.
Moseley was recently chairman of Venture Atlanta and chairman of the Technology Association of Georgia, the State’s largest entrepreneur-focused organization. He has also served on the board of North Carolina’s Council for Entrepreneurial Development, one of the largest entrepreneur organizations in the country. Moseley is also a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council. Moseley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Casey West is a managing partner with SSM Partners. He has 10 years of experience in entrepreneurial finance, and his focus is on healthcare services, healthcare information technology and technology-enabled services companies.
Prior to joining SSM Partners in 2004, West spent several years with Petra Capital Partners, a Nashville-based mezzanine firm focused exclusively on late-stage healthcare and business services investments. During his time there, he participated in 12 growth capital investments. West began his career in the New York-based healthcare investment banking group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation.
West received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in history from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is the co-founder and past president of the Tomorrow Fund, a non-profit organization that provides training for young professionals interested in community outreach and is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council. Patrick Kennedy has spent the past 29 years supporting payers and vendors to create successful electronic networks linking payers and providers. He held executive positions responsible for Marketing, Sales and Business Development with GE, GTE, NEIC, Avicenna Systems and CareInsite.
In 2001 he started his own consulting company, PJ Consulting,Inc. During the past 14 years he has servedas a consultant to 39 Blues and 12 of the largest commercial payers in the country.
Kennedy has also worked with Pharma companies and Pharma service vendors to create member communication programs to support patient adherence programs and to maximize vaccinations, especially among adults, by providing physicians with patient/payer specific real-time eligibility and detailed payer reimbursement information with patient financial responsibility information.
Kennedy also serves on the board of GEMMS, the market leader for Electronic Medical Record Systems and PACs for Cardiologists.Recently he served on the boards of two companies, prior to their sale: HCPro/Greeley,focused on hospitals to help them meet all state and federal health care regulations for compliance andcredentialing; and Bloodhound, a claims editing and analyticsservice to insure accurate payment of claims by health plans.
Kennedy joined the Board of Directors of MRO in 2014,a company focused on disclosure management of Protected Health Information(PHI) for Release of Information (ROI), payer audit compliance and tracking,and Account Disclosures, and in support of Medicare and Medicaid Risk Adjustment requests from payers.
